Our family is moving through the teen years, and while we are looking forward to launching the kids into their adulthood, we look back often to our adventures.
I realized that our family, like many, have some unspoken agreements. Our kids have been raised with mantras that are part of how they do life. Whether out of repetition or pure zeal, we live out these mantras. It’s what it means to be a Dalrymple.
I thought I would share some of our sayings and quotes, and what we agree on:
“Do hard things.”
“Work first. Play second.”
“A wise man sees trouble far off and avoids it. The simple pass on and are punished.” – Proverbs 22:3
“Pursue adventure and freedom.”
What are your mantras?
