We have been location independent for over 15 years because of our business. We began as a consulting company with specialties around sales, marketing, and leadership and moved into angel investing with start-ups. The entrepreneurial journey has afforded us much freedom, and we have used it to travel and live in many cities around the country.
A few years ago, we spent the winter months in Durango, CO which proved to be a perfect spot to work and play. We stayed in a home right off Main Street which allowed us to walk into town easily for coffee, drinks, or runs around town. We got to know people easily, networking through business happy hours and other events.
And when work was done, we were able to head out for hiking/biking right out our door. We love snowboarding, and so we visited Durango Mountain and Wolf Creek frequently, and Silverton and Telluride as well.
Durango is a perfect hub for countless day trips like Mesa Verde National Park, Pagosa Hot Springs, Silverton, CO. Weekend trips to Southern Utah, Ouray, or New Mexico were also fun to explore! It really was one of our favorite stays during our travels.
Downtown Durango Home for Short-Term Lease
The home we stayed in is available from October 2018-April 2019. It was so comfortable – modern, roomy, plenty of light and spaces to make it feel like your own.

Our guesthouse is DIVIDED INTO TWO UNITS: An apartment and connected studio. The layout provides accessibility and privacy.
The APARTMENT has a bedroom with a queen bed, full kitchen, living area and full bath. There is a pull out full bed in a private breezeway that has been used by many groups as an additional private bedroom.
The connected STUDIO has a king size bed and two twin day beds, a kitchenette, full bathroom, washer/dryer and a large lounge/TV area.
The building has in-floor radiant, high loft ceilings with overhead fans, 3 sets of double French doors leading onto a flagstone patio, and access to a beautiful fenced yard with BBQ and mature landscaping. There is a large breezeway that works great for gear or an office or an extra room for another bed or pack-n-play.
In addition to the apartment, large breezeway and open studio, guests will enjoy private off street parking, with easy access to the code-entry back door, and a large fenced yard and patio.
